What we Offer
Our Curriculum
• Following the Montessori curriculum, we will introduce them to the decimal system by using number cards and golden beads.
• Basic mathematical concepts like counting, skipping, etc.
• Exploring different shapes and introducing spatial awareness by encouraging in spatial activities.
• Allowing children to express their creative outlook through various mediums such as drawing, painting, dance, and sculpting
• Teaching them the basic drawing and painting techniques which will allow them to build on those concepts in the years to come.
• Introducing our students to various cultures and customs amongst our multicultural community.
• Teaching them to appreciate and respect others’ cultures and traditions.
• Recognizing and celebrating different festivals and special occasions.
• Developing their gross motor skills by having physical activities in place for them.
• Allowing them to explore nature by going on walks and gardening which will aid in their overall cognitive development.
• Cleaning up after themselves and their toys after Free Play
• Learning about personal hygiene:
washing your hands, wearing aprons and other appropriate clothing for activities.
• Encouraging polite and respectful behavior amongst peers and teachers.
• Encouraging gentle and non-violent ways of expressing emotions
• Engaging in problem-solving activities, and encouraging teamwork
• Teaching and enhancing conflict resolution methods
• Reading activities using the Montessori curriculum
• Having “story time” at the end of class to help encourage reading and enhance their imagination
• Introducing the alphabet to them, by using phonetic activities, and large sandpaper letters.
• "Music and movement” sessions to help with their language acquisition and development
• Exploring different materials that enhance their 5 senses (taste, touch, smell, hearing, and texture), such as tactile activities and color tablets.
• Using different textures and creating sensory bins to help them explore and discover the world around them.
• Enhancing our students’ learning exposure by going on field trips and organizing age-appropriate outings for our students like going on picnics, visiting the zoo, etc.
